New: Offline Mode
Out on the trail, mobile signal is often the last thing you can count on. Right where you need your bike settings or the next trail section, your phone shows nothing but a weak signal icon. That changes now.
What works offline
RyTracks automatically caches all important data in the background at startup — without you having to do anything:
- My Bikes — all bikes with settings, suspension sets and tyre pressure sets
- Bike Snapshots — your saved setups available at any time
- My Trails — trail details including GPX map
- My Rides — ride overview and details
- My Equipment — full equipment list available offline
- Profile & Settings — always accessible
Data is cached automatically in the background when the app starts — once you’ve been online once, you have everything with you.
How it works
RyTracks is a Progressive Web App (PWA). A service worker runs invisibly in the background and stores all important pages and API data locally on your device. On the next launch — with or without a connection — that data loads instantly.
As soon as your connection is restored, the app updates automatically.
What doesn’t work offline
Actions that require a server connection — such as creating new bikes, editing data or using the AI assistants — are not available offline. An active connection is needed for those.
Installation recommended
Offline mode works most reliably when you have RyTracks installed as an app on your home screen. We explain how to do that step by step in the installation guide.
